Membership in the Doctor’s Chamber
The membership in the Doctor’s Chamber is an obligation of all doctors of medicine that are engaged in medical practice on the territory of Republic of North Macedonia, thus including foreigners as well.
A member of the Doctor’s Chamber can be a doctor who is engaged in medical practice on the territory of Republic of North Macedonia, unemployed doctor of medicine, doctor of medicine who is a foreigner with a temporary stay in Republic of North Macedonia and engaged in medical practice outside the healthcare system covered by the fund.
Rights of the members of the Doctor’s Chamber
The members of the Chamber are entitled to the following:
- The right to vote the structures and the bodies of the Chamber as well as the right to be elected;
- The right to a legal counselling and advice regarding professional issues;
- The right to medical advices and support;
- The right to use the benefits arranged by the Chamber with other legal entities or individuals;
- The right to a financial assistance as a member is accordance with the Chamber’s operating documentation;
- The right to a free sample of the newsletter of the Chamber.
Obligations of the members of the Chamber:
The members of the Chamber have the following obligations:
- The obligation to comply with all regulations of the Chamber, especially the Code of Medical Ethics and Deontology and the Statute of the Chamber;
- Obligation to act in accordance with the Acts brought by the bodies of the Chamber;
- Obligation to notify the Chamber for all alterations regarding employment, education, professional, scientific and educational progress as well as any change in the personal data in accordance with the Acts of the Chamber;
- Obligation for providing the information necessary for the proper implementation of the Chamber’s activities;
- Obligation to cooperate and participate in the professional supervisions in accordance with the Acts of the Chamber;
- Obligation to pay the membership fee and all other financial requirements resulting from the membership;
- Other obligations imposed by the Chamber’s Statute and other Acts
Termination of the Chamber’s membership
The membership in the Chamber is terminated in case of:
- Permanent requisition of the working licence;
- Temporary requisition of the working licence;
- Request by the member of the Chamber;
- Death of the member of the Chamber.
